Overview
The Bus Expert is a 2-in-1 logic analyzer and protocol analyzer for the eMMC5.1 and SD3.0 protocols. It comes with specially designed active probes that are just perfect for acquiring the high-speed eMMC signals. In protocol analyzer mode, only eMMC or SD packets are captured, allowing for the capture of many subsequent events. The data can thereafter be analyzed using the special Bus Expert analysis functions or the standard functions of all our software solutions.
Special Functions
Channel Skew Correction: Time-align individual signals
Event Log: Search for packets, addresses, arguments, data, statuses, errors among 250M records
Event Trigger: 3 level CMD sequence trigger, Error Trigger, Busy Trigger
Protocol Analyzer Mode: Sample eMMC/SD events for hours or even days, supporting NCR, HS400 mode etc
Procedure Auto Test: Check that the command sequence is correct
Customization and Navigation
Languages: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese
State List and Waveform View: Present the data as a list of 1s and 0s or as traces
Waveform and UI customization: Modify the appearance of channels, menus, traces etc.
Zooming and panning: 3 cursor modes
Triggering
Pre/Post Triggering: Store both pre-trigger and post-trigger data; choose from 0-100% pre-trigger data
Protocol Trigger: Trigger on eMMC/SD commands and events
Pulse-width Trigger: Trigger on pulse widths
Trigger Channels:10
Trigger Delay: Delay acquisition after trigger event based on duration (time) or number of samples (memory)
Trigger Events: Byte/State/Edge/Width
Trigger In: Trigger on an external signal
Trigger Out: Send a trigger signal that sets off another instrument
Trigger Pass Counter: 1 to 65,535
Trigger Sequence Levels: 48
Analysis
Add Bars: Mark important events in the captured data with bars
Auto Run: Let the instrument auto-determine the best sample rate
Auto Save: Autosave acquisitions
DSO Connection: Connect to and display analog signals from DSOs
Export: Export acquired data as .csv or .txt
Files Comparison: Compare 2 files to quickly see where and how they differ
Real-time Signal Activity: Live view of probe activity
Trace Information: Display timing information inside the waveform
Auxiliary Analysis Windows
Navigator: Quickly get an overview and navigate to distant parts of the waveform
Memory View: See what the memory looks like; what is read/written to which address
Packet List: Breakdown of all packets details into convenient list form
Statistics: Table view of number of periods, periods that satisfy conditions etc
Protocol Decoding
Protocol Decoders: Trigger on, decode and analyze the eMMC5.1 and SD3.0 protocols (and older version)
